What I find most interesting here is the use of adhesive to hold the clip screw (tassie) in place. It certainly makes things difficult to remove that part should the inner cap need to be replace because the pen cannot be capped.
Also, the decal place in the circular depression is just a circular piece of aluminum, silver on one side and brass colored on the other. Placed in the depression, it gives a dished appearance:
