Francis (Frank Meinhardt

Frank Meinhardt was trained as a chemical engineer and worked for Parker.  He was granted US Patent #3,120,216 for the magnetic concave base to hold desk pens whose holders had a ball at its end.  This technique was used in many desk sets including the Premier model.

More importantly he was instrumental in the development of the round porous point at the end of the T-Ball Jotter, which is a critical component in the delivery of the BP 'ink'.   This sintered ball was granted US Patent #3,303,825 and this letter from Daniel Parker clearly acknowledges his contribution.
