Notes

Member of the Place Vendôme series.  The word "perlé" is french for "beaded".

Earlier gold-plate was 20 microns in thickness, while the silver-plate was 30 microns and so engraved around the cap band.

Perlé can be found with a cartouche on the cap, a blank unadorned area for personalizing the pen.  Scarcer still are those that had the cartouche run the full length of both the cap and barrel.
