Pattern 14 - GP hexagon

This pen was found an as eBay auction item in May 2004 with a repeating pattern of stretched hexagon not seen before.  It was mistakenly described as a bark pattern but take a closer look and compare it to other bark-like patterns of the solid 18K gold Acacia and goldplated Écorce.

Acacia

Écorce

Note that this pen was made in France and bears the date code of UI which is 4Q 1981.

Also interesting is the tassie, which appears to be slightly different than normal 75 tassies.  Actually I find this to be rather crude as a replica of the 75 tassie as it appears to be a smooth tassie with lines scored to mimic the stacked rings found on 75s.  Even the lines seem to be unevenly spaced!

If you know what Parker called this pattern please email me.
