Pattern 4

Here is a solid 18K gold in the Godron-like lined pattern whose line density is between the Godron and Milleraies. Unlike the Godron, which has 23 lines and the Milleraies with 64 lines, this one has 40 lines.

Update of December 31, 2002

Here is another picture taken from a 1991 French auction catalog.  Auction description was "Parure de stylos en or massif 18 carats, guillochage godron.  Un stylo plume large, un stylo bille."  Loosely translated, this means "Ornamental designed pen in solid 18K gold, godron pattern.  Broad nib fountain pen and ball pen."

Here are some better pictures I was able to add, thanks to a contributor.

Here are close-up pictures showing the hallmarks for it solid 18K gold content.

Here are pictures of the matching BP with its hallmarks.

Update of June 27, 2004

I found a variant FP of the above with a slightly different inscription.

Instead of 18K, this one is marked 0.750 which is the same thing but represented as a decimal fraction of pure 24K gold.

Yet another hallmark indicating the same
18K gold content.
