What is interesting to note here is that the pen depicted here had gold tassies and clip, which is also different from this one, which has white gold trim. So there are also variations even among Cartier 75s! |

Parker did have a manufacturing plant in Australia, but it was shut down during World War II, decades before the 75 was released. That manufacturing plant was never re-opened, although they did have a repair facility. It is my belief that Parker shipped 75 parts, assembled them in Australia, and engraved the cap in this way. Why? To skirt around the import duty. |
