The term "Presidential" is used by Parker to connote their pens made out of solid gold. This Keepsake model is the most common presidential 75, and so it Keepsake reference is usually omitted.
Earlier versions have flat ends, while later versions released starting in 1973 had dimpled ends and the corresponding clip with the larger arrowhead.
This pen was part of the Heritage line of pens from Parker. Its complete packaging put the pen into a felt bag and a box accompanied by an outer cardboard box with the price tag. The price? A presidential sum of $1100 in 1982!
Being expensive items for their time, well-known jewelers such as Nieman-Marcus, Saks, Tiffany, and others also sold these pens. They did not, however, have the jewelers names inscribed as they did with the Ambassador and Keepsake models.
Early models had flat tassies but replaced later with dished tassies.
