Prototype 21 - Textured gray stainless steel

This prototype has a texture dark gray finish and was first pictured in the 1995 book Fountain Pens of the World by Andreas Lambrou on page 99.  It has an unusually wide cap band.

Turning it away from the clip, you can see the inscribed Production Engineering number of PE-8905-5 on that wide cap band..

I guessed the material as being stainless steel by noticing the one-piece barrel with the concave depression found only on the tassie-less Flighter.

Here is the matching BP.

Like the FP, there is a Production Engineering number inscribed on the back of the cap band.  Here's a close-up to show the number as PE 8911-6

Here's yet another BP, though closer in it textured surface and Production Engineering number.

The FP above was PE-8905-5 and this latest BP is PE 8908-3.
