Here is a picture of an Australian made Imperial BP.
Looking at the cap band area we can see the inscription.
Here is another interesting variation that was made in France.
A solid 14K gold version with a similar pattern was found and listed as Unknown #13.
Unknown #15 is a French-made Imperial cap mated with a black laque barrel.
Here is an Imperial variant with the line groups extending all the way to the edge of the cap so no cap band is formed.
As shown in these close-up photos the lines go right through the PARKER name and other inscriptions.
Tassies on this variant are flat which implies that this is likely an early model as most production Imperials have dished tassies.
