I used to think this pen was "made up" from parts. Over the past few months, however, I have spoken to several 75 collectors who tell me that they acquired this model from sources who were reliable or had no resources to create this model.
This is especially the case when the pen has flat tassies since both the black laque and Imperial 75 models were released with dished tassies. Even more surprising is the inscription on the cap which states that it was made in France; the normal Imperial was made in USA.
Here are pictures showing the packaging, though this one is slightly different in that its tassies are dished.
The last picture with the white paper has a reference date of "06/76". Although this may just be generic to the paper itself, at least we have a clue that this pen set was produce on or after June 1976.
