Here are some more pictures of this elusive woodgrain laquer model. Its pattern would later be replaced by the laque thuya model. You will immediately notice that this pen has a very thin band, indicating that this model is an earlier version. It is so thin that there is insufficient space to inscribe the Parker name, which had to be placed on the cap itself.
As a reminder, here is the later version of this model with the wider cap band. You can probably see that the Parker name is inscribed on this band.
Here is a close-up of the cap area. It has not visible but on the back of the cap is the word LAQUE etched onto the surface.
