Exchange For Sale - Item # S021219-01

Description:   Sterling silver prototype Keepsake 75 FP
Price:     US $500

Here is the scarce smooth sterling Keepsake FP for the 75 collector who insists on getting one of the more unique 75s.  This one is a prototype since no Parker inscription can be found.

This pen comes with the correct section that has the chrome ring and zero reference inscription.  It is fitted with a 14K US broad nib marked B on the black plastic underside.  It has flat tassies as you can see.

NB: The acrylic stands are not included in the sale of this item.

I sold my last Keepsake for $1200, so why is this one so cheap especially if it is a prototype?  The simple answer is that this is a used pen and I can only rate the condition as good, even if most of the  surface scratches can be polished away.

In an effort for full disclosure, here are the flaws I noticed.

First and immediately apparent is that the barrel is inscribed with a previous owner's name.  It is not accented with black filling in the inscription so it is not too bad.  As you can see below in the highlighted circle, there is a deep scratch.  Neither this scratch nor the name can be removed.

There are also 2 scratches near the cap tassie as you can see in this picture.

Also on the cap you will find a slight depression or ding.  It is hard to notice it unless you get the light reflecting off the cap just right.

Then where the cap meets the barrel, there is a slight protrusion of the barrel edge.

This pen is sold FP only, no box or papers.
